FormFactor, a provider of semiconductor test and measurement technologies, and Keystone Microtech have expanded their strategic partnership to support the manufacturing and delivery of advanced probe card solutions. The agreement combines FormFactor’s probe card technology and semiconductor test expertise with Keystone Microtech’s design, assembly, testing, repair and distribution capabilities in Taiwan. The expanded partnership is intended to increase manufacturing scalability and strengthen regional support for semiconductor manufacturers developing devices for artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, advanced packaging, memory and high-speed connectivity applications. These technologies are creating more demanding production test requirements as device architectures become increasingly complex.
FormFactor will contribute its probe card technology, design and semiconductor test capabilities to the partnership. Keystone Microtech, also known as KSMT, will provide design, assembly, testing, repair and distribution capabilities for designated products. FormFactor will continue to develop and manufacture its proprietary probe card technologies, while each company will retain ownership of its respective intellectual property, technology, patents and know-how. The collaboration expands FormFactor’s presence in Taiwan and is intended to improve regional operational support, service capabilities and responsiveness to semiconductor customers. Taiwan is a global center for semiconductor innovation and manufacturing, making regional capabilities important for companies supporting complex devices and production requirements.
The FormFactor PH Series probe card is designed for integrated wafer testing with probe head sizes ranging from 50 mm to 100 mm.
Probe cards provide the electrical interface between semiconductor wafers and automated test equipment during wafer-level testing, allowing manufacturers to evaluate individual dies before packaging and assembly. FormFactor’s probe card portfolio includes the PH Series for integrated wafer testing, with probe head sizes ranging from 50 mm to 100 mm. The PH Series is designed for high-performance and high-density DRAM testing and incorporates a scalable architecture for increasing pin counts, wafer sizes and device architectures.

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Zhubei City, Taiwan, Keystone Microtech designs and manufactures semiconductor test components including IC probe cards, load boards, engineering evaluation boards, burn-in boards and system-level testing boards.
