Navitas Semiconductor has entered a strategic partnership with GigaDevice to establish a joint R&D lab focused on integrating Navitas’ GaNFast™ power ICs with GigaDevice’s high-performance microcontrollers (MCUs). This collaboration targetsnext-generation, energy-efficient applications in AI data centers, electric vehicles (EVs), solar, and industrial power systems.
As gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) technologies enable faster, more compact, and higher-efficiency power conversion, MCUs must evolve to match these performance gains. The joint lab will combine expertise in power and control systems to develop co-optimized solutions for high-speed, high-power applications.
The new lab will accelerate intelligent power management innovation by combining Navitas’ GaNFast™ and GaNSafe™ power ICs with GigaDevice’s GD32 MCU series. This integration will support single-stage BDS converters, high-speed switching, and AI-powered design optimization for digital power supplies.
