SandboxAQ has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to accelerate breakthroughs in biopharmaceuticals, chemicals, advanced materials, financial services, cybersecurity, navigation, and medical imaging. A member of the NVIDIA Inception program, SandboxAQ isleveraging NVIDIA DGX Cloud on Google Cloud to build a state-of-the-art large quantitative model (LQM) platform, fueling AI-driven scientific discovery.
SandboxAQ’s proprietary LQMs are designed to solve complex, high-stakes problems with speed, precision, and scalability. Built for domains where traditional models fall short, the platform delivers deterministic, physics-based results across critical enterprise sectors.

Using DGX Cloud, SandboxAQ replaces conventional design-make-test cycles with high-performance, equation-based simulations—reducing discovery timelines from months to weeks. Simultaneous optimization across multiple parameters enables faster validation of promising candidates and more confident decision-making. The company is also generating high-fidelity scientific datasets through combined chemical and biological simulations. These equation-based LQMs reveal previously undetectable interactions between small molecules and complex biological targets, improving predictive model accuracy and reducing false positives. SandboxAQ’s AI Chemist further advances the platform by orchestrating multiple LQMs to autonomously explore millions of chemical pathways, enabling the discovery of novel molecules at a scale far beyond human capability.
The announcement builds on prior joint research milestones. In 2024, SandboxAQ and NVIDIA achieved an 80x acceleration in quantum chemistry calculations using CUDA-accelerated Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG), enabling simulation of enzyme active sites and complex catalysts that were previously computationally prohibitive. In 2025, the companies published Orbital Optimization of Large Active Spaces via AI-Accelerators, demonstrating orbital optimization of a system with 82 electrons in 82 orbitals—more than doubling the size of previous simulations. This advance significantly expands the frontier of GPU-accelerated quantum chemistry, with implications across catalysis, materials science, and high-dimensional parameter optimization.
SandboxAQ’s enhanced platform is delivering measurable outcomes across critical industries. In biopharma and healthcare, it accelerates preclinical development by improving prediction of drug efficacy and safety. In the chemicals and materials sectors, it enables faster discovery and validation of sustainable chemical processes, such as carbon and hydrogen utilization and energy storage. In cybersecurity and infrastructure, advanced modeling capabilities support improved agility, resilience, and proactive threat management.
SandboxAQ’s LQMs represent a new category of enterprise AI. Unlike generalized frontier models, they are grounded in the fundamental laws of physics, chemistry, biology, and economics, delivering scientifically reliable outcomes. In life sciences, LQMs are trained on high-fidelity, domain-specific datasets to improve model accuracy, reduce false positives, and accelerate the path from hypothesis to therapeutic insight. This scientific rigor sets the platform apart in a growing field of AI-based solutions.
“Our expanded work with NVIDIA accelerates our customers’ ability to innovate and lead in their fields,” said Jack Hidary, CEO of SandboxAQ. “By developing our platform on NVIDIA DGX Cloud and continuing our research collaboration, SandboxAQ will deliver a level of performance and insight that gives our customers a clear edge in accelerating innovation.”
“SandboxAQ is pushing the boundaries of AI-native science,” said Alexis Bjorlin, Vice President of NVIDIA DGX Cloud. “NVIDIA DGX Cloud provides an AI development platform with essential scale and optimized application performance, empowering SandboxAQ to deliver cutting-edge capabilities and drive real-world impact for organizations tackling society’s most critical challenges.”
